AI operations for professional businesses

One AI workforce.
Three industries.

Vertical+ is developing a practice-resident AI operations platform for dental clinics, medical offices and law firms—handling repetitive administrative workflows while keeping licensed professionals and staff in control.

The operating thesis

Automate the work around the professional.

These industries share the same structural problem: highly trained people spend too much time coordinating information, chasing administrative tasks, routing documents and updating systems. Vertical+ is designed to become the orchestration layer between people, software and recurring work.

01 / Capacity

Repetitive work consumes expert time.

Scheduling, status checks, follow-up, intake, document routing, benefits or authorization work, client communications and reporting create queues that compete with higher-value work.

02 / Fragmentation

Critical workflows cross too many systems.

Vertical+ is designed to connect existing practice, medical and legal software rather than force teams into another isolated dashboard.

03 / Trust

Professional AI needs boundaries.

Permissions, audit logs, human review and explicit escalation rules matter because clinical and legal judgment cannot be delegated blindly to automation.

The Vertical Node is the execution anchor.

A managed environment for AI agents, integrations, permissions and workflow state—configured for each industry and office.

ONE PLATFORM / SPECIALIZED WORKFLOW PACKS
Three customer verticals

Same infrastructure. Different work.

Each Vertical+ workflow pack is organized around the real administrative patterns, professional boundaries and data-handling expectations of its industry.

Dental Clinics

Dental practices are balancing insurance friction, staffing pressure and rising overhead while dentists show the strongest near-term interest in AI for administrative efficiency—not autonomous treatment decisions.

55.3%of surveyed dentists cited insurance issues among their top three practice challenges for 2026.
54.2%cited staffing / recruitment / workforce shortage among their top three challenges.
43.3%of responding dentists were using AI for at least one practice task as of mid-2026.

Dental Workflow Pack

Administrative capacity around the clinical team.

HUMAN-CONTROLLED
Insurance work queuesEligibility, benefits and follow-up preparation with staff review.
Scheduling & recallConfirmations, reactivation, rescheduling support and queue prioritization.
Front-office triageRoute messages, inbox items and recurring administrative requests.
Digital scan → lab routingPackage scan files and Rx data, route to approved labs and confirm handoff.
Case status operationsTrack lab or administrative status and surface exceptions to staff.
Practice intelligenceDaily summaries of queues, unresolved items and operational trends.
Boundary: Vertical+ is positioned around administrative workflows. Treatment recommendations, diagnosis and other clinical judgment remain with licensed dental professionals.

Medical Offices

Prior authorization remains a major administrative burden. At the same time, federal interoperability rules are pushing parts of prior authorization and health-data exchange toward more structured electronic workflows.

40 / weekaverage prior authorization requests completed per physician in the AMA's 2025 survey.
13 hoursof physician and staff time per week spent on prior authorization, on average.
2026 → 2027CMS operational provisions began in 2026; many required interoperability APIs have compliance dates beginning in 2027.

CLINICIAN-IN-CONTROL
Prior-auth work queuesOrganize requests, documentation requirements, status and follow-up.
Referral routingSort inbound referrals, supporting documents and unresolved items.
Patient intake & messagingCollect routine information, categorize requests and escalate exceptions.
Document interoperabilityMove approved information between supported systems and workflow queues.
Administrative follow-upTrack unresolved payer, referral and operational items without losing context.
Operations briefingSurface bottlenecks, pending work and workload patterns for staff.
Boundary: Vertical+ does not diagnose, prescribe, determine medical necessity or replace clinician judgment. It is designed to support administrative workflows and human review.

Control plane

Privacy, permissions and accountability by design.

Vertical+ is being designed for professional environments where access, auditability and human accountability matter as much as raw automation.

Role-based access

Limit agents and users to the systems, records and actions appropriate to their role.

Human approval gates

Require staff or professional review before sensitive external actions or consequential decisions.

Audit trail

Record workflow events, approvals, exceptions and system activity for operational review.

Practice-resident deployment

Use the Vertical Node as a dedicated execution environment for managed workloads and integrations.

Controlled integrations

Connect only approved systems with scoped permissions and explicit workflow rules.

Industry-aware safeguards

Configure healthcare and legal workflows around applicable privacy, security and professional-responsibility requirements.

Compliance note: HHS states that HIPAA-regulated entities must implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards for ePHI, including access controls and audit controls. Whether a specific Vertical+ deployment is HIPAA compliant depends on the final architecture, agreements (including a BAA where required), integrations, policies and implementation. For law firms, ABA Formal Opinion 512 emphasizes that lawyers remain responsible for their ethical duties when using generative AI. Vertical+ should be represented as supporting compliant, controlled deployment—not as replacing those obligations.
Vertical+ / Pre-launch

Give your people an AI operations layer built around their work.

Start with one professional vertical, a small number of high-frequency workflows and measurable administrative capacity. Expand only after the workflow is proven.
